This tour specially made for climbing the highest peak in Albania at mountain range Korab. The Korab mountain range, which culminates at the highest peak in the country, is located along Dibra’s highlands. Macedonia and Albania share this legendary mountain range but it is in Albania that Mount Korab peaks at 2764 meters above sea level. Surrounded by the national park of the same name, this entire area is one of the most valued for its flora and fauna, boasting an ecosystem that thrives in this untouched natural environment. A short tour made for hikers that want to climb the highest peaks.
Itinerary
Early in the morning after breakfast we will start our journey to go to Radomira, a part of the Korab-Koritnik Natural Park which marks the entrance to the touristic road that ascends toward Mount Korab.
On the way we will have the chance to visit small towns and villages on the 190 km road to Radomira, and get a taste for rural living while having a coffee/drink with majestic scenery. We will accommodate in a guesthouse in Radomira where we will have lunch with fresh local dishes.
After a small rest, we will hike to the untouched and magical ‘Black Lake’. The alpine lake has a rich ecosystem and its waters contain curative properties for rheumatism and various other ailments. Furthermore, the fauna is extremely rich and varied, which explains its status as a natural monument. The lake is an ideal spot where you can truly commune with nature, where you can have a relaxing picnic or enjoy a refreshing hike.
After the hike we will return to the guesthouse for dinner and you will have free time to explore the area on your own.

On the second day we will have an early breakfast and be prepared for an amazing hike to Korabi Mountain. Surrounded by the national park of the same name, in this entire area we will see plenty of pine trees, ancient oaks and grassy fields where we can consume our picnic packed-lunch.
The views along the way are magnificent and only get better when you approach the peak. Macedonia and Albania share this legendary mountain range but it is in Albania that Mount Korab peaks at 2764 meters above sea level. At the peak we will admire the bird’s-eye panoramas from Korab and enjoy the full glory of the Balkans.
We will descend from the same trail to go back to our guesthouse where we will have our dinner.

On our last day, after breakfast, we will prepare our bags to return to Tirana. On our way back we will have a stop in Kruja, the hometown of our national hero Skanderbeg. This historic city is 608m above sea level and offers an open vista to an amazing panoramic view. The name and the importance of the city are closely related to the 25 years of activity of Skanderbeg, who in the fifteenth century made Kruja a bastion of uncompromising resistance against the Ottoman.
We will have free time to explore the cobblestone narrow street of the Old Bazaar which will impress you with its small shops full of interesting artefacts and souvenirs and visit the Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg Museum that is situated inside the castle walls, which date back to the fifth and sixth centuries A.D.
After Kruja we will head back to Tirana where we will finalize our tour.
